She described the various factors responsible for infertility and outlined the scope of homeopathy. She made the discussion interesting by her animated speech. A lot of rubrics from the various repertories were also highlighted and their significance was explained to the audience. She also presented cured cases with different causes of infertility to underscore the role of homeopathy in infertility. Cases of PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) were also presented on that day.

HOMOEOPATHY IN AUSTRIA BY DR. VIJAY H. VAISHNAV AND DR. DAXA

The StudentInnen Initiative in
Homoopathie, Austria, had organized an advanced seminar in
Homoeopathic Materia Medica and Theory for its members at
Vienna, in Austria from June 30 to July 4, 2004. Dr. Vijay
H. Vaishnav, Asst. Professor in the Dept. of Materia Medica
and Dr. Daxa V. Vaishnav, Asst. Professor and I/C Head of
Academics of the Dept. of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Smt.
CMP Homoeopathic Medical College, Mumbai, India, were the
invited speakers at the seminar. Dr. Vijay Vaishnav spoke on practical prescribing with many case illustrations and also taught the approach to the treatment of Bronchial Asthma. He also discussed drugs like Alumina, Opium, Carbo vegetabilis, Cedron, Sabadilla, Antim tart and Dulcamara in great detail. During the seminar he also dealt with topics like symptomatology, different methods of prescribing, the first prescription, remedy reaction, the second prescription and the relationship of remedies.
In Austria a person can legally practice homoeopathy only after he has a basic medical degree. Basic medical education is for ten years following which the person has to work for three years in a hospital or study a further six years (post graduation) before he is given the license to practice. Over and above this, he has to study homoeopathy for at least three years before he can practice this healing art. The students who attended the seminar were either medical students or qualified doctors and had come not only from Austria but also from Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Report of National Homoeopathic Seminar – 2004 Famous lawyer and eminent Social worker Adv. Ashokji Soni inaugurated this seminar. Dr. J.D. Patil (P.G. Director at D.K.M.M. Homoeopathic Medical College, Aurangabad) was the chief guest.This seminar was dedicated to the memory of Late ‘Shri Parampujya Rangnathrao Kaldate Guruji Brahmangaonkar’. Firstly Mr. Pawan S. Chandak (Director of Shaktibrahma Homoeopathic Research Center, Parbhani) gave an introductory speech on the life of ‘Shri Parampujya Rangnathrao Kaldate Guruji’ and also on the work of ‘Shaktibrahma Homoeopathic Research Center, Parbhani’.Dr. Vasant Garad introduced our speakers Dr. Vijay Vaishnav & Dr. Daxa Vaishnav. Dr. Shivaji Aundhekar gave an overview of the work of the Homoeopathic Practitioner’s Association. Dr. Shrigopal Darak introduced the subject of Seminar ‘Modern Homoeopathy and its importance’. Vaishnav was asked to speak on ‘D Her lecture dealt with the practical and scientific approach to gynaecological cases and she covered the following areas:
Dr. Daxa vaishnav explained each and every related topic by giving excellent examples of cases of Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease and other different gynaecological condition with ultra sound images in the form of slide presentations.
He explained importance of scientific approach to the study and application of Materia Medica. - How to apply this knowledge in finding accurate similimum due to which perfect cure takes place, - Use of this scientific approach & its application in practice due to which our prescription in emergencies & acute becomes easy. - Without using scientific approach occurrence of failure by using prescription on the basis of only symptomatology. - He explained the importance of Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and Clinical subjects in Homoeopathic Practice. - He presented his lectures by giving examples of cases including acute emergencies like ruptured emphysematous bulla of the lung, perforated peptic ulcers, deep vein thrombosis, etc. with X-ray, and colour doppler images to show the effect of homoeopathic medicines. - This seminar was attended by delegates (Students, Homoeopathic Practitioners, Gynaecologist, Paediatricians) from Parbhani, Nanded, Basmat, Hingoli, Aurangabad, Shirpur, Amravati, Nagpur, Beed, Ahmednagar, Pune, Nashik, Khamgaon, Akola and many places from all corners of Maharashtra. |
