Is Cure a real possibility or a distant dream in practice? In
the
present
age
where
there
is
a
tremendous
amount
of
stress
(mental
and
physical),
or
when
the
patient
comes
to
us
at
a
stage
where
expecting
cure
is
difficult,
we
can
only
give
maximum
relief
to
the
patient.
Cure-
as
defined
by
Dr. Hahnemann-
is
a
rare
phenomenon,
at
least
in
my
practice.
I
can
state
that
60-70%
of
my
patients
get
relief.

India Cure
is
a
possibility
in
the
practical
sense.
To
label
cure,
we
need
to
not
only
treat
the
presenting
complaint,
but
observe
over
a
period
of
time,
the
direction
of
cure.
If
we
understand
success
of
prescriptions
and
consider
palliation
of
incurables,
the
average
cure
rate
could
be
50-60%

is
possible
if
all
the
principles
are
applied.
Often
this
is
not
possible
and
we
settle
on
Relief
or
Palliation.
We
also
use
this
term
of
Cure
very
loosely.

Cure
is
not
possible.
This
is
not
impossible
though.
With
our

the

is
about
50%.
Rest
is
palliation

is
a
relative
definition-
I
would
put
it
as
improvement
in
health.
There
are
many
cases
like
asthma,
epilepsy,
etc.,
which
can
be
cured.
But,
diseases
like
diabetes,
cardiac
conditions,
cancer
pains
can
only
be
relieved.

teacher For me, cure has not been a distant but a realized dream with homeopathy. Unfortunately, I have not maintained a statistical record of cured cases. - Dr. Ramgopal D. Tapadia, Principal of T.S. Homoeopathic Medical College, Amravati for the past 25 years; Member- Central Council of Homoeopathy, Govt. of India. He has presented a paper on Hepatitis B at the LMHI Conference at Seattle, USA in 1997. “According
to Organon of Medicine the highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle and permanent
restoration of the health, or removal of the disease in its whole extent, in the
shortest, most reliable and most harmless way, on easily comprehensible
principles. In
80% of my cases I observe that not only the physical complaints but also the
general attitude and emotional state of the patient improves.
He also feels better in his general energy and overall health. Due
to certain exciting factors symptoms may recur but with much milder intensity
which can be corrected with the same remedy if they fall within the domain of
that remedy.” Dr,. Ranjan Sankaran is an internationally renowned
teacher and author of several books on homeopathy.
